Golf camp offers youngsters a unique opportunity to improve their swing. A specialty camp such as this allows campers a chance to really get into the intricacies of golf, and they'll have opportunities to not only play myriad rounds of golf but also to attend swing clinics, practice on the driving range and more. Hours are devoted to a variety of golf techniques such as putting, chipping, pitching, sand play as well as understanding golf rules and on-course etiquette. Golf camps offer various levels of instruction, from the very beginner to the camper who is more advanced. Youth golf camps usually offer several other activities to entertain the camper, such as swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, and much more.
Highlights: Golf camps typically offer ongoing tournaments designed to keep campers motivated and challenged. The winners are awarded at the end of the camp session.
Equipment to Bring: If your camper already owns his own golf clubs then he should plan on bringing them to camp. Your camper should also bring golf course appropriate clothing.
Levels of Expertise: Most golf camps accommodate all levels of experience, but always check ahead to see what the instructor to camper ratio is in case the camp is more heavily weighted toward those who are less or more experienced.
